When Jack and Ben round everyone up to go back to the island, will they travel back to 2004, on that fateful Sept. day? TPTB tell us we all missed something important in the pilot, and that's been bugging me ever since I heard about it. I have watched the pilot so many times I can say everybody's lines.
So what do you think would happen if they go back to that date, knowing everything they now know?

Do you think they would go back physically (and does that mean they could meet themselves) or mentally like Desmond? Too much time travel makes my head hurt. Okay, actually it's the red wine.
Red wine gives me a headache as well.
Somehow, there must be another dimension (like Star Trek) in which they can travel back without meeting themselves. I can't wrap my head around the whole thing just yet, but am still trying to work it out.
It would be neat if they could go back mentally, but when Ben says they have to go back, I think he means physically.
Good question. It also begs the question, what exactly does "back" mean. Like, how far back, back to when? Like you said, it could be allllll the way back maybe! :-o
I'm kind of hoping that's what "going back" means. It opens up a whole can of worms!!
It'll be interesting to see how Jack can convince everyone it's neccessary.
if y'all need some more Lost reading (like we don’t have enough ALREADY) i like this blog's approach they are doing during the hiatus, they are deconstructing specific scenes in a nice short and concise manner
Not Confused Just Lost
Anyway, the current post just happens to be about our friend CS (as pgtbeauregard says: Is Christian the key to the mystery?)
they echo exactly what I’ve been wondering, why do we still have Locke’s dead body around BUT Christian’s dead body is nowhere to be found?
i think TPTB promised us NO multiple/alternate dimensions like Star Trek and Fringe
